How many times have you skipped out on the gym because you were dodging the “lugging around too many bags and changing clothes” dance? If you’re anything like us — 95.5% of the time. We offer our deepest condolences but there’s no longer an excuse. Former model and fitness enthusiast Heather Payne has introduced a collection of activewear that suits both the movement of gym activities and the aesthetic necessity of looking appropriate in everyday life. Even if you’re not a gym rat but you do find yourself gratuitously wearing yoga pants to the grocery store and important functions, you can now avoid the sidelong “what is she w-e-a-r-ing?!” glances.
Easy to move in, fits like a glove and a way more upscale than your normal workout duds, the line is also superhero inspired — slam dunk. We’re especially taken with pieces incorporating leather details. Once we put it on the nylon motorcycle jacket (on sale $87), we’re not sure we’d ever take off — so futuristic, powerful and sexy. And the bold leather skirt ($264) is the perfect item to up the ante on your game after the gym, just throw it on over a pair of ankle leggings ($64). So even though it’s the dregs of January, it’s never too early to start working on your beach bod, and Payne has done away with the vast majority of our good excuses for “not finding time for the gym.”
